10 acres of land for sale in Paradise Valley, Nevada about 30 minutes N of Winnemucca, NV with power only ¼ mile away! The property is about 2.5 hours NE of Reno, by the Oregon/Idaho/Nevada state lines in the heart of Cowboy Country in Humboldt County!
All of the photos were taken in October 2014 of the property and its surrounding views. We took Statler Drive, a graveled road which runs one block to the west down to the bottom of the section and from there Dimick Lane, a bladed dirt road, runs along the east of the property. There is power at the adjoining neighbor on the west side as seen in the photos.
There are a few neighbors sprinkled around this part of the valley and a few within the same block. It’s a big chunk of land sitting in a very agricultural valley and you can see there are miles and miles of crop lands to the south with their circular irrigated crops! There are no homes between you and the farm to the south so beautiful unobstructed views of the hay fields and tractors! And this farm girl thinks that’s the bomb to watch! Ha!
Its a beautiful setting down on the valley floor surrounded by mountain views! There was a bit of a gentle roll to the south but mostly flat with tall healthy sagebrush and soft dirt. The neighbor to the north has their lot fenced and there was a stake across the street at the NE corner of the property where we took some of the photos.
There are awesome views of the Santa Rosa Range from the N to W to SW with the Humboldt National Forest in the distance to the north. And it’s a beautiful view across the other side of the valley of the Hot Springs Range from the NE to the E on down to the SE! And then to the S down by Winnemucca is the East Range.
Paradise Valley sits near the southeastern boundary of the Humboldt National Forest. There is a school in the valley for K-8 and a high school in Winnemucca. It is a small rural area with a population of about 308 people. We actually took some time to stop and smell the roses and went to visit the old Paradise Valley Townsite. We had such a good time at the Paradise Valley Bar & Grill "Where Friends Are Made", that we got up the next morning and called in our order for steak dinner that night. Apparently all year long they do a steak dinner here and it sure was a fun time! I included several photos of this in the additional photos area!
Winnemucca is a very pretty town along Interstate 80 about half way across the state between Reno and Elko, Nevada. It has a population of about 7200 and is also the county seat. There you will find a hospital and super Wal-mart. Winnemucca is a beautiful diverse town where you will find Basque, Hispanic and Native Americans mixing with cowboys, farmers and miners. The casinos bring bright lights to the tourists at night and it offers plenty to do during the day. There is a school in the valley for K-8 and a high school in Winnemucca. It is a small rural area with a population of about 308 people.
We don't often come across land in this valley in the prices we deal in and they always seem to go quickly. If you're looking for a rural spot for a home be sure and check this out. It’s a favorite of retirees and hunters for its small town gambling and excellent restaurants. And the old town site is an excellent spot for a friendly cold beer and steak! Enjoy, Char the Explorer!
