Christmas Valley is a rural town in south central Oregon with a population of about 800 people. It surrounds a golf course and the nearby Great Sand Dunes make this a destination for many enthusiasts! It is about an 1.5 hours southeast of Bend making this a popular choice because of its still affordable land prices. The town includes restaurants, a library, health care facility, volunteer fire department, and gas stations. It is common to see big trucks hauling hay through town in this agricultural community.

This 0.34 acres is sitting in the north edge of the subdivision, as seen in the section map link above. All the pictures below were taken of the property and it's surrounding views in September 2006. I thought it was a nice piece of property sitting along a great graveled road with power one lot to the east! It sits only four blocks north of the golf course.

Across the street to the north is a beautiful plush green field with sprinklers and tree covered hills are in the distance behind it. The lot is fairly flat with a slope to the west with lots of scattered sagebrush and grass. The fall colors were gorgeous in the sagebrush. To the north are pretty views of treed mountains and to the south are more mountain views. It was a pretty time of year to visit and my notes say "pretty piece of land"! I think this would make a great spot for someone looking for a rural small town community or a weekend getaway to enjoy the warm high desert summers and golfing! Enjoy! Char the Explorer : )
