This first set of pictures was taken from the southwest corner of lot #129.

These three adjoining lots totalling 12.466 acres make up a fantastic big chunk of land with a creek running through it! Two creeks come together at the southest corner of lot #129. It is the essense of what the Ozarks are - a huge hillside that flows down to the creeks and then back up to the top of the next hill! Wow I just loved this property! All of the photos were taken when we visited the three adjoining lots in November 2007. It was late fall and we just caught the tail end of the beautiful fall colors. It was a beautiful time of year allowing me to get some better peaks of what the trees hide in the summertime!

Moria Road is an excellent graveled road and Donlon Place is a graded road that had recently been mowed. Both were in excellent condition with culverts put in where the creeks are located. There is power sitting one lot north of lot #126 as seen in the section map link above. There are a few homes in the area to the west. These lots sit fairly close to the lake as seen in the maps as well and it shows there is a boat ramp a few lots to the southwest of lot #134. I also noticed green boxes along the road which I thought was cable as seen in one of the photos below.

There was clear water in the creek along lot #129. It looks like part of it along the south has a seasonal pond from a low point along the hillside. Lot #126 is the side of another hill and it is a bit flatter up on top in the culdesac. It then has a big slope down to the creeks below! You could hear the beautiful rustling of the fall leaves falling - the wind kicking up the leaves making for a peaceful sound. I sat and listened as I wrote my notes with the windows down and relaxed for a few minutes. It was a windy day and I really enjoyed the top of it all up in the culdesac and how peaceful the sounds and setting were. I was surrounded by tall tall gorgeous trees!

Two of these three lots are large enough to be horse property. All together they make up such a fabulous area with tree covered hills and streams - what a great place to explore! We spoke to a couple of property owners who were out for an afternoon walk. They were just up for the weekend and said they owned property there but had yet to build and just enjoyed coming up and visiting it. I gave 5 stars for the entire piece! What a great spot to spend your days in the Ozarks! Enjoy! Char the Explorer : )

Subdivision Information:

Forbes Lake of the Ozarks is a beautiful 12,800 acres located in Benton and Camden Counties in Missouri. Consisting of over five miles of shoreline on the Lake of the Ozarks, it also has three interior lakes that average over 20 acres each, three private boat launches for property owners, a picnic area and an RV park. There is an abundance of wildlife there walking around as if they were the only ones there! Turkeys and deer roam about hiding in the trees and walking across the roads with no worries!

Located in Edwards near the town of Warsaw, it is centrally located to many nearby cities: 45 miles east of Osage Beach, 125 miles SE of Kansas City, 223 miles SW of St Louis, and 93 miles North of Springfield.  It is heavily forested with streams flowing down to the lake. The varieties of trees is spectacular with oak, walnut, hickory, elm, and sycamore.

Deer Creek - a new subdivision right beside Forbes Lake of the Ozarks just being developed! I checked out their website at deercreekestates.biz and see that it is a beautifully planned gated community with lot prices from $45,000 to $250,000. The plan is for 500 estate homes and 100 condominiums as well a marina, clubhouse, restaurant, pool, tennis courts, and more! This is your new neighbor!

The first time I visited the area in June 2007 they had just built the rock wall and when I visited again in November 2007 I could see the first structure! This new subdivision adjoins Forbes Lake of the Ozarks!

Some of the locals out enjoying the day when we visited one of the boat launches in the subdivision. I loved the babies with their momma!
