Highway 233 which goes to Montello and takes you to I-80 happens to run through the property! The first picture is taken looking north and that is the town of Montello in the distance. The second picture is looking south and this road cuts through the Toano Mountains! This is a 7.78 acres of land is located approximately 5 miles southwest of the small town of Montello in northeastern Nevada. It is about a 40 minute drive to the bustling town of Wendover on the Utah/Nevada state line and the busy town of Elko is about 1.25 hours to the west. All of the photos were taken in August of 2008 of the property and surrounding views. Highway 233 runs right through the SE corner of the property! I believe it is the first piece of land we have owned that actually had the highway running through it! It was a beautiful time of the year and a gorgeous day to be out looking at land in Elko! The skies were a brilliant blue against the mountain peaks! The land sits in the valley just east and northeast of the Toano Mountains offering beautiful views, which you can see in the photos below. Montello is a small town of about 480 people sitting in the northeastern corner of Nevada not too far from the Utah/Nevada/Idaho state line. Majority of the property sits along the west side of the highway but there is a small portion of it on the east side as well as seen in the parcel map link above. This is open range land so there are fences running along both sides of the highway. You would need to put a fence up that you could cross through and you would also need to fence your property if you wanted to keep grazing cattle out. There is a railroad to the west of the property about 25 acres away as seen in the parcel map link above. The fences and the railroad tracks can be seen in the map links above and in the photos below. The property is fairly flat with a gentle slope to the west and there are scattered sagebrush and native plants. There is gravel/stone path on the west side of the road, as seen in the photo merge below. There is a neighbor about 1/2 of a mile to the southwest, another one 1/2 of a mile to the west, and a few others scattered in the distance. This valley has awesome views of the Toano Mountain Range to the west and southwest and of the Pilot Mountain Range to the east - very pretty! This property is sitting on the valley floor between these two mountain ranges! On the north end of the Pilot Mountain Range you can see Rhyolitte Butte and to the southeast is Pilot Peak! The Toano Mountains are so close you can see lots of trees on her! To the southeast are cool hills with lots more trees with lots of charachter to them! To the north is Montello and this part of the valley was once part of the Gamble Ranch. This section also adjoins 640 acres of BLM land so there is BLM land less than 20 acres away to tht east!! This valley is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife in two mountain ranges!
