Beautiful views of the Moses - Coulee from this pretty lot! This 0.96 acres is located in Rimrock Meadows about 16 miles northwest of Ephrata in Eastern Washington. Moses Lake is about 35 miles away to the southeast and it is a 40 minute drive to Wenatchee to the west. Rimrock is a great getaway spot for families looking for a place to stay and play! You can build a home there or put in a manufactured home but most of the people use it to pull in their RV and enjoy the fishing in the area, the pool at the club house, ATV riding, and snowmobiling in the area!! What a great spot to get away in the winter or summertime. Grand Coulee Dam is about an hour's drive and there are numerous other "natural wonders" in the surrounding areas such as the Columbia River, Soap Lake, Moses Lake, Whisper Lake and Lake Chelan. It is a beautiful drive to the subdivision with rolling wheat fields along the way as well as the hillsides surrounding Rimrock Meadows. This is a very nice lot allready graveled for you to easily pull in your RV. Located in Eastern Washington near the towns of Ephrata and Moses Lake this is an outdoorsmans paradise! It is located a very cute subdivision geared towards recreation. The property is zoned for either a home or an RV and it is just begging for an owner to come use it! A road was graded at the northeast corner of the property through to the other end of the property at the culdesac. It is a bit overgrown with grass from lack of use but a nice huge space to pull in a few big RV's, vehicles and boats! All of the photos below were taken when we visited the property in August 2006. I thought it was a cool lot tucked beneath a rim overlooking the Moses - Coulee! My notes say "Awesome"! It is a flat lot for the most part with a few rock outcroppings here and there but it is mostly covered in sagebrush and native grasses with lots of room! There are big views of the Moses-Coulee from the north to the south! The Moses - Coulee was cut out by the flow of lava by huge flood 15,000 years ago from a lake in Montana. This canyon cuts across the otherwise flat landscape. In the distance are pretty views of the hay fields from the east to the southeast. There are a few RV's and cabins in the area. It is easy to locate the property at the intersection of Hackamore and Altoona Drive which is marked as seen in the photos below and parcel map link above. The area is filled with lakes and recreational activities. As a kid my Aunt took us kids over here camping at the State Park and we swam every day at the lake. I remember looking at the big interesting rocks that surrounded the lake as I had never seen anything like it before. We also got our pictures taken standing on top of the Grand Coulee Dam - probably around 4th grade! Obviously it left a lasting impression on me and I think it would be a great spot to take your family to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities! Mark and I personally own this lot as I thought I would keep it and use it for ourselves. But I have yet to find the time so I am looking for a good home for it. If I am lucky I will have a chance to get up there this summer and use it before it sells! It is about a 5 hour drive for us from the Bellingham area - including a quick stop in Leavenworth! : ) Be sure and click on the Douglas County link at the bottom of the page for pictures of the many amenities that this subdivision has to offer as well as some of the fun nearby tourist towns that we often stay and play at! I gave this property *5 STARS* for the fabulous Rimrock views over the narrow valley! Enjoy! Char the Explorer : ) This is the graveled road through the property - a big overgrown with grass but not sagebrush! This is the road leading in front of the property - graveled and easy to drive:
The overgrown graveled road with the property stakes at the end of it:
The hayfields in the distant hillsides after their fall harvest!
A beautiful view of the cool rock formations of the Moses - Coulee! Easy to see how it gets it's name Rimrock!
