A beautiful view of the long range of the Manzano Mountains to the east on a clear blue day! This one acre building lot, located about 40 minutes south of Albuquerque, is in the Rio Grande Estates subdivision just off Interstate 25 and highway 60. It is a short drive south of the bustling town of Belen. The bottom of the subdivision is bordered by the Sevellita National Wildlife Refuge and the Rio Grande River flows a short ways to the west as seen in the subdivision map link above. It offers stunning views of the Manzano Mountains to the east as well as Ladron Peak to the southwest! The property sits in the top northern part of the subdivision which is my favorite part! All of the photos were taken in May 2009 looking at this parcel and its surrounding views! It is a very pretty part of the subdivision with awesome views of the rich green bosque down along the Rio Grande River from the southwest to the northwest! You can also see the pretty red rim that rises above the bosque. There is a fantastic view of the Manzano Mountains from the northeast to the southeast! There is a cool hill to the southeast as well! I tell you this subdivision has views in all directions! The area is fairly flat and covered in grass and native plants. I did see a few neighbors in the area and the aerial photo shows a few neighbors as well but other than that there is a lot of privacy for now! There were excellent graveled roads leading to the property and a dirt road that is a bit overbrown runs along the property. It is a short country drive to Belen out of the top of the subdivision or you can take the highway a few miles west to the interstate for a faster trip! Ladron Peak can be seen to the west as well. Located in the Sierra Ladrones which lies between the Rio Peurco to the east and the Rio Salado to the southwest, the peak is 9,210 feet and the summit is almost 4500 feet above the Rio Grande Valley! Part of the range is included in the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge which sits just below this subdivision! Animal species include mountain lion, pronghorn, bear and desert bighorn sheep. I think this is such a beautiful subdivision and a unique location to Belen and Mountainair that as we continue to see this area grow and new homes being built this would be an excellent investment for the future as it sits along a main highway just moments from the Rio Grande River and Interstate 25 with quick access into Albuquerque! If you have been looking for an investment piece of property be sure and check this out. You will be hard pressed to find an acre of land this cheap so close to Albuquerque with decent access! Enjoy! These next few pictures are looking south to southwest - there is a cool hill to the south and Landrone Peak sitting all the way across the other side of the valley to the southwest!
