This picture was taken about two lots to the north on Pritzker Drive, the same road this property sits on.
This is a pretty big chunk of land just over 6 acres located in a beautiful forested subdivision about an hour west of Osage Beach, Missouri! Located about two hours southeast of Kansas City, Missouri it is very close to Lake of the Ozarks and there are two boat ramps within 5 minutes! Forbes Lake of the Ozarks is a heavily forested subdivision with a few homes in it but for the most part it remains undeveloped with deer, turkeys and turtles running around - a stunning place! It is easy to navigate around this subdivision using the subdivision map as the roads are all marked and graded. All of the photos below were taken in June 2007 of lot #2821 which sits only one lot to the northwest! We have not had a chance to view this property but you can see the beginning of the property in a few of the photos below where the bend in the road is. If you look at the parcel map link you will see the property starts a bit before the bend in the road and then continues until the road straightens back out. From the aerial photos it appears that this property sits on the side of a rolling hill rolls down to the south/southeast to an intermittent stream that then flows into Welch Lake. You can see this in the aerial photo showing Welch Lake. The power map put out by the LOA (land owners association) shows that there is power at a neighbors house three lots to the west on the backside of Pritzker Drive. The area was thickly forested and a pretty area tucked away in the woods! I noted how tall the trees were - pretty thickly treed with many varieties. It sure lit up when the sun came streaming through to the forest floor! This unit allows camping up to three weeks at a time! And it's not too far from two of the boat ramps! This is the largest single lot we have owned in this subdivision so if you've been looking for a big piece here this would be worth checking out since you would only have to pay dues and taxes on one lot! AND THE BEST PART...lots that are a minimum of 4+ acres are allowed to have horses on them! Prior to visiting this subdivision you will need to contact us by email or phone so we can hook you up with the proper map to drive around this subdivision as well as a gate pass. This is a private subdivision that covers over 12,000 acres and has many roads that are a maze! The maps in our listing and the maps on the land owners website are not enough for you to find your way around without getting easily lost. We purchased a very large subdivision map through the LOA that we use to drive around this subdivision and you can purchase this map through them as well or we can mail it to you in the snail mail. You must make arrangements to receive this map prior to being able to receive the gate pass. The LOA does not assist our interested buyers in locating the property and please do not ask them to. You must be able to locate this property yourself. We suggest you use MapQuest to locate the LOA's address at 26506 Gardiner Rd. Edwards, MO 65326 so you have maps to the starting point. There are restrictive covenants on this subdivision and we have supplied a link to those covenants below on the land owners association website. A few highlights of these covenants includes, homes and modular homes allowed, no manufactured homes, no hunting, camping allowed up to three weeks at a time on certain units, free RV area allowed for all owners in the community area, no pigs or chickens, and horses allowed on lots that are a minimum of 4 acres per lot. Please visit the land owners website which I have included a link to below to read all of the covenants. There are a few photos of this boat ramps below including one where we found a kid arrow fishing - that was very cool - had never seen that before! If your passion is fishing and other recreational activities that include water this is your place! The subdivision has a few homes built in it but remains for the most part undeveloped. Enjoy! Char the Explorer : ) Looking south down Pritzker Drive - lot # 2868 sits right before the bend in the road starts. There is a beautiful view off this hillside of the rolling treed hills across the narrow valley where the lake sits below!
