Incredible big chunk of land in the hills of the Ninemile Mountains overlooking 21 Mile Draw! Stunning! This fabulous 40 acres is located in a rural area in northeastern Nevada, approximately 14 miles northwest of the town of Montello as the crow flies. All of the photos were taken in July of 2008 of the property and surrounding views. This sure was a fun and beautiful piece of land to explore! It is in foothills of the Ninemile Mountains overlooking Twentyone Mile Draw and the Toano Mountains! Montello is a small town of about 480 people sitting in the northeastern corner of Nevada not too far from the Utah/Nevada/Idaho state line. We took a road out to this area north of Wells by the Winecup Ranch and this road lead due east out over the southern tip of the Ninemile Mountains and right through this property! Unbelievable! We saw survey tape along the road where we estimated the east side of the property was using the gps as seen in one of the photos below. The property sits in one of these foothills covered with beautiful healthy trees that were covered in pretty blue colored berries! The property is made up of rolling hills going up one hill and back down to the next. There is an awesome view of the 21 Mile Draw from the northeast to the southeast - Awesome! Across the draw is a beautiful view of the Toano Mountain Range - very pretty! There are great views of the NineMile Peaks from the west to the northwest. The peaks are big and beautiful and since you're part of the same mountain the views of the peaks are fabulous! This land was once part of the Gamble Ranch north of Montello. We have supplied several maps above showing where the property sits and the roads that lead out to the area. The aerial photos shows the jeep trail running through the property. We recently granted a 50 foot easement through the property to Ruby Pipeline LLC that contains about 1.536 acres. They will be constructing a pipeline to carry natural gas from the Rocky Mountain region to growing markets in the western USA. I believe this pipeline follows the road we found through the property - that is a guess though. They will be constructing this pipeline within the next year and are to leave the property in the same condition it was found in. I do believe that this will improve the road to this property even more since they will need to bring in their equipment as they construct this pipeline. We have copies of the easement above. They expect to have this completed within the next year. This parcel adjoins 640 acres of BLM land on the east side of the property!! For information on BLM land visit BLM.gov. The parcel map shows an intermittent stream running through the east side of the property. It was dry when we drove through it. I can't say enough about how beautiful I thought this land was. This valley is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife in two mountain ranges! If you have been looking for a place to get away from it all while you hunt or explore be sure and check this out! It is definitely off the beaten path and you will need a truck and even better a 4wd in places to get through some of the places where the intermittent streams run but for the most part it was a very fun and adventurous drive out to the property. This would be a terrific place for a sportsman looking for a place to get away from it all and hang out and do some hunting! My notes say "Fabulous plus a bag of chip"! Enjoy! Char the Explorer : )
