This is a pretty 5.51 acres located in a beautiful forested subdivision about an hour west of Osage Beach, Missouri! Located about two hours southeast of Kansas City, Missouri it is very close to Lake of the Ozarks and there are two boat ramps within 5 minutes! Forbes Lake of the Ozarks is a heavily forested subdivision with a few homes in it but for the most part it remains undeveloped with deer, turkeys and turtles running around - a stunning place! It is easy to navigate around this subdivision using the subdivision map as the roads are all marked and graded. These two adjoining lots totaling 5.51 acres are located in a private part of the subdivision along two roads. Lot 3792 is a corner lot and lot 3791 sits at the end of a culdesac. They are both covered in lots of trees with some pretty big ones in the mix! Their shiny leaves were gorgeous in the summer sunshine! I would like to see both of the lots stay together since they make up such a beautiful big chunk of land. However they each do have their own assessor's parcel number so no additional paperwork needs to be done if you wanted to build a home on each lot or sell them off individually. All of the pictures below were taken in June 2007 looking at both of the properties together. It was very easy to find with marked streets and the graded roads had recently been mowed making for easy access! There were beautiful sun beams streaming down to the forest floor lighting it up - a very pretty setting in the summertime! There are scattered wildflowers blooming about the area and a bit of underbrush in the woods. It is very thickly covered in trees and in fact it is hard to see the property through all of the trees. I have tried to shoot a few photos into the trees below and if you look closely you can see the forest floor with little underbrush in some of the photos. There is power only two lots away to the SE as well as to the SW according to the power map from the Land Owner's Association! There are a few neighbors in this area as also seen in the power map and it sits not too far away from the LOA building. There are restrictive covenants on this subdivision and we have supplied a link to those covenants below on the land owners association website. A few highlights of these covenants includes, homes and modular homes allowed, no manufactured homes, no hunting, camping allowed up to three weeks at a time on certain units, free RV area allowed for all owners in the community area, no pigs or chickens, and horses allowed on lots that are a minimum of 4 acres per lot. This big chunk of land is the side of a hillside with some flatter parts to the hillside and more aggressive parts to it on lot 3791. It is the essence of what the Ozark Mountains is known for with the hillsides tumbling down to the streams below where there is an abundance of wildlife. I personally think the hillsides are absolutely beautiful with such character. We do have some flat lots as well but they don't offer the views that the hillsides do in the Ozarks! The property sits on the side of a rolling hill. It slopes down off the road making a beautiful view of the hillside below. I thought it would be a great spot for someone looking for a home to tuck away where no one can find them! Enjoy! Char the Explorer : )
